Three notebooks

I wanted to make some easy gifts. I have made and decorated three notebook covers and filled them with a notebook, pen, post- it notes and a packet of Lakerol. I have used different left over papers from different brands. For instance - Prima, Graphic 45 - Once upon a springtime and My Mind's Eye - Lost and Found. The front is a lift from Anita in trykkpressa.

All the book covers are similar - but I have used different papers.

I am entering these to trykkpressa for June

A decorated KaiserCraft Storage Cupboard - DT hobbykunst

This time, I have decorated a KaiserCraft: MDF Storage Cupboard. I painted the cupboard white. To cover the outside and inside of the cabinet, I have used a paper from Prima: Epigram - Divine. To cover the cupboard doors, I have used another paper from Prima: - Zephyr Collection. This paper has a strong yellow colour - so I added Gesso to make the colour paler and blend in with the other paper.

To cover the drawers, I used another paper from Prima: Familia - Lifetime. The knobs are from IKEA.

The flowers are from Prima, Mathia flowers and a mix from my flower draw. The butterfly is from prima

I filled the cupboard with small craft projects.

A small bird cage. This is a slightly modified version of the birdcage from Bird cards.

The clock is a small alarm clock from Jysk. Painted with MetaMica and alcohol ink. I have also added gears, part of a peacock feather and some screws.

I also decorated an old chess king and a horse.

I made a small steampunk hat and glasses. The template for the hat is from Life art collide. The steampunk glasses are my own design. The hat has been decorated with gears, feathers and old watch parts. The paper is from KaiserCraft - 75 cents collection.

The Eiffel tower is my own design. The paper is from Prima: Botanical - Far Far Away. The flowers are a mix, and including flowers from Prima and Mathia flowers. The butterfly is from Kort og Godt.

This is a decorated corn tin. I decorated it with paper from Prima and Graphic 45 - Secret garden collection. The Butterflies are from Graphic 45.

The shoe is made from a template from the dollar store, slightly modified.

Love you to the moon and back - altered box

There is a new challenge over at Kort o Mania. This time the challenge is to alter a box and it has to be romantic.

So, I found a small box at Søstrene Grene. The inspiration for the box was the phrase "Love you to the moon and back". I also added another challenge for myself. I wanted to see if it was possible to "lift" a card and make something different than a card. The set up is a lift from Kjersti in trykkpressas challenge.

The moon is made from shaping a Styrofoam ball, covering it with old book pages and painting it with glow in the dark paint.

The flowers are mainly Mathia flowers. The rabbit is from" Graphic 45, once upon a springtime collection - Diecut".

The background is from "Graphic 45: Leafy Treetops - Secret Garden". The butterfly in the top right corner is from Kort og Godt.

The grass is made from "Prima paper - Annalee Collection - Romance". The box is covered with paper from "Melissa Frances - C'est la vie - Green Honeycomb paper". I am giving the text away as as a freebie ;)

The outside of box has got a phrase from "Graphic 45: Springtime - Secret Garden"

"Good friends" tag

I made a Mixed Media tag to match "trykkpressas" challenge this month. This time, the challenge is a lift - and I lifted Camillas tag. At the moment I am just trying out different sprays, paints, glues and effects to create my own style - and finding effects which are new for me - so this tag was just made as a test.

Envelope / package art

I must admit, that sending a plain box in the post can be a bit boring. Some time ago a friend of mine sent me a package through the post. She had decorated it with buttons - old buttons. I thought this was so funny. So, when this friend of mine and me was going to send a package together - the box got decorated :) We did one side each - and this is how my side turned out.

The page is about the size of A3. I have used watercolour paper as a base. The colour is a mixture of two dylusions sprays - squeezed orange and cherry pie. The sprays have been put into a separate spray bottle - and diluted with water.

The background stamps are from Tim Holtz. The gears and the key hole are cut from cardboard with Tim Holtz dies. I have coloured the diecuts with Gesso, MetaMica and Distress paint. The butterflies are from Graphics 45. The stencil in the background is a silhouette file - cut from a thin plastic film.

The wings and crone are stamps from Kort og Godt. The Aussie road signs, are stickers bought in Sydney.

The box was taped with clear tape to prevent the package art from being destroyed on its way to the recipient.

A birthday card - and a new challenge at Kort o Mania

I got an order for a birthday card for a 50 year old woman. I was told that she likes sewing Norwegian national costumes and that her dog has just got puppies. I also made this card as a DT card for Kort o Manias challenge this fortnight is - our four legged friends.

This is a pop - up card. The dress form is from Shery K Design.  The sewing table is my own design - cut with a Silhouette in Bazzill from Panduro.

The sewing machine is a free digital stamp from the Graphics Fairy

The dog are a the digital stamp "Puppy Paws" fra Robyns Fetish. The carpet and the material under the sewing machine is from a small table cloth in Hardanger stitching.

The background paper  is from Pion design - Alma's Sewing Room - Purple rose.

The front of the card is decorated with flowers from Prima, roses, lace and different embellishment.

Detail of the flowers on the front of the card,

I have also made a small "made by" decoration on the back of the card.
